On the fluid dynamical approximation to the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation (Q423870)

The authors study the nonrelativistic, semiclassical and nonrelativistic-semiclassical limits of the (modulated) nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations. In particular, making use of the hydrodynamical structure of the equations and the modulated energy method, they give a rigorous proof of the nonrelativistic-semiclassical limit of the modulated nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation on the \(n\)-dimensional torus. They also discuss the approximation of the wave function by applying the WKB method.
