Let \(H\) be a separable real Hilbert space and \(A\) be a nonnegative self-adjoint linear operator in \(H\), with dense domain \(D(A).\) The paper deals with the following Cauchy problem \(P_{\epsilon}\) \[ \epsilon u^{\prime\prime}(t) +u^{\prime}(t) +|A^{\frac{1}{2}}u(t)|^{2\gamma}Au(t)=0, \quad \forall t\geq 0 \] with the initial conditions \[ u(0)=u_0\in D(A),\quad u^{\prime}(0)=u_1\in D(A^{\frac{1}{2}}) \] with \(\epsilon>0\), \(\gamma\geq 1\). The limit problem is \(P_{0}\), i.e. \(\epsilon=0\) in \(P_{\epsilon}\), and the initial condition \(u(0)=u_0\). Following \textit{J. L. Lions}'s method [Perturbations singulières dans les problèmes aux limites et en contrôle optimal. Berlin-Heidelberg-New York: Springer-Verlag (1973; Zbl 0268.49001)], the authors introduce correctors \(\theta_{\epsilon}(t)\) and write \[ u_{\epsilon}(t)=u(t)+\theta_{\epsilon}(t) +r_{\epsilon}(t)=u(t)+\rho_{\epsilon}(t),\quad \forall t\geq 0 \] where \(u_{\epsilon}\) (respectively \(u\)) is a solution to \(P_{\epsilon}\) (respectively \(P_0\)). Under more regularity assumptions on the initial data, they obtain (Theorem 2.5) several estimates of the form \[ F(\epsilon,t,\rho_{\epsilon}(t), r^{\prime}_{\epsilon}(t))\leq C \epsilon^2 G(t),\quad \forall t\geq 0 \] for \(\epsilon\) small enough and suitable functions \(F\) and \(G\).
