Borcea and Voisin constructed, independently, mirror pairs of families of Calabi-Yau threefolds by taking the quotient of the product of an elliptic curve with a \(K3\) surface endowed with a non-symplectic automorphism of order two (involution). The paper under review generalizes the Borcea-Voisin construction taking \(K3\) surfaces endowed with non-symplectic automorphisms of prime order (\(\leq 19\)). This construction yields families of generalized Calabi-Yau orbifolds of dimensions \(3\) and \(4\). Then the topological types of Calabi-Yau orbifolds are classified presenting Hodge diamonds in terms of invariants of \(K3\) surfaces. In case of dimension \(4\), orbifolds built with an involution admit a crepant resolution and come in topological mirror pairs. However, for any odd order non-symplectic automorphism, mirror pairing is no longer valid.
