The author develops techniques similar to the geometric tropicalization by \textit{J. Tevelev} et.al. [Am. J. Math. 129, No. 4, 1087--1104 (2007; Zbl 1154.14039)] to associate a parametrized tropical curve to an algebraic curve in a torus. He uses this technique to give algebro-geometric proofs of so-called Correspondence theorems, these are theorems that prove the equality of certain algebraic enumerative numbers to their tropical counterparts in terms of a weighted bijection. He can generalize several known Correspondence theorems, for curves satisfying point conditions and for elliptic curves satisfying point conditions and with a fixed \(j\)-invariant.
