This paper examines torus actions on a given simply connected CW-complex in the rational homotopy framework. More precisely, if \(\text{dim }H_*(X; \mathbb{Q})\) is finite, the rational toral rank is the largest integer such that the torus \(S^1 \times \dots \times S^1\) (\(r\) factors) can act continuously on a CW-complex \(Y\) in the rational homotopy type of \(X\) with all its isotropy subgroups finite. In a previous paper [Bull. Belg. Math. Soc. - Simon Stevin 18, No. 3, 493--508 (2011; Zbl 1227.55011)] the author constructed a CW complex \(\mathcal{T}(X)\) which classifies these actions according to the rational toral rank. The present note calculates some examples (for \(X\) a product of odd spheres and \(\mathcal{T}(X)\) of dimension \(2\)) using Sullivan models.
