A Kirkman triple system of order \(v\) is a pair \((\mathcal{B},X)\) where \(X\) is a \(v\)-set, and \(\mathcal{B}\) is a collection of \(3\)-subsets of \(X\) such that each pair of elements of \(X\) occurs in exactly one triple of \(\mathcal{B }\), and there is a partition of \(\mathcal{B}\) into so called paralel classes \(R_{i},i\in I\) such that each \(R_{i}\) is a partition of \(X.\)NEWLINENEWLINELet \((\mathcal{B}_{1},X)\) and \((\mathcal{B}_{2},X)\) be two Kirkman triple systems of order \(v\) with a common parallel class. What is the spectrum of numbers \(k\) such that these two Kirkman systems have exactly \(k\) triples in common, that is \(\left| \mathcal{B}_{1}\cap \mathcal{B}_{2}\right| =k\) ? In this paper the question is answered with the exception of finately many pairs \((v,k).\)
