In the paper under review, the author studies the influence of the Aharonov-Bohm effect on the resonances in the 2-dimensional scattering of magnetic Schrödinger operators. The quantum model studied is constructed as follows. One takes a 2-dimensional magnetic Schrödinger operator (without electric potential for the moment) where the magnetic field is supported in a neighbourhood of the origin. Then one puts an obstacle that covers a vicinity of the support of the magnetic field. Now one adds two compactly supported electric potentials (on the complement of the obstacle) and takes a large distance \(d\) between their supports. In this framework, resonances can be defined by the complex scaling method. In the limit of large \(d\), the author shows how the magnetic flux of the magnetic field influences resonances in some energy region. If this flux is not a half integer, then it enters in the quantification rule for resonances that are related to classical trajectories travelling between the supports of the electric potentials. If the flux is a half integer, the author computes resonances when the distances of the support of the electric potentials to the obstacle are different. They are related to classical trajectories travelling between the obstacle and the closest electric support to the obstacle. If the flux is a half integer and these distances are equal, then there is a large resonance free region. We note that, if we consider the classical problem associated to the studied model, the classical particles cannot enter the region where the magnetic field lives and are not influenced by it. At the quantum level, it does influence them. This is the Aharonov-Bohm effect. We strongly recommend the reading of the introduction that efficiently presents the main results of the paper and also gives an intuitive interpretation of them.
