Elementary transformation semigroups and their generating equations (Q461896)

In this short note, the authors consider a new approach to semigroups and PDE, differing from the classical one introduced by \textit{E. Hille} [Functional analysis and semi-groups. New York: American Mathematical Society (AMS) (1948; Zbl 0033.06501)]. They introduce broad classes of canonical semigroups as solutions of partial differential equations of the first order. They show that their approach is consistent and can be useful in several cases.
