The fermionic observable in the Ising model and the inverse Kac-Ward operator (Q466931)

The author defines the Kac-Ward operator on a general graph in the plane [\textit{M. Kac} and \textit{J. C. Ward}, Phys. Rev., II. Ser. 88, 1332--1337 (1952; Zbl 0048.45804)] and establishes a direct connection between the fermionic observable for the spin Ising model and the inverse Kac-Ward operator. The author also presents a general picture of the non-backtracking walk representation of the critical and supercritical inverse Kac-Ward operators on isoradial graphs.
