In 1992, \textit{F. Labourie} [J. Differ. Geom. 35, No. 3, 609--626 (1992; Zbl 0768.53017)] proved the following: ``Let \(M\) be a compact manifold with boundary that admits the structure of a strictly convex hyperbolic manifold. Let \(h\) be a \(C^{\infty}\)-regular metric on \(\partial M\) of a sectional curvature that is strictly greater than \(-1\) everywhere. Then there exists a convex hyberbolic metric \(g\) on \(M\) that induces \(h\) on \(\partial M\).'' In 2006, \textit{J.-M. Schlenker} [Invent. Math. 163, No. 1, 109--169 (2006; Zbl 1091.53019)] proved the uniqueness of the metric of the above theorem. The author of the present paper proves the following theorem: Let \(M\) be a compact connected 3-manifold with boundary of the type \(S\times [-1,1]\) where \(S\) is a closed connected surface of genus at least \(2\). Let \(h\) be a hyperbolic metric with cone singularities of angle less than \(2\pi \) on \(\partial M\) such that every singular point of \(h\) possesses a neighbourhood in \(\partial M\) that does not contain other singular points of \(h\). Then there exists a hyperbolic metric \(g\) in \(M\) with a convex boundary \(\partial M\) such that the metric induced on \(\partial M\) is \(h\). The above theorem implies that the manifold \(M\) admits a structure of a quasi-Fuchsian convex compact manifold.
