Persistence of periodic orbits with sliding or sewing by singular perturbation (Q472323)

This paper studies the persistence of periodic orbits of piecewise smooth differential systems under singular perturbation. Assume that the reduced system on the critical manifold has a periodic orbit with either sewing or sliding. Under some suitable conditions the authors prove the persistence of the periodic orbit of the original system under small singular perturbation. In addition, several counter examples are construted showing that only one parameter is in general not sufficient to ensure the persistence of the periodic orbits under a singular perturbation.
