On maximum mass measures in truncated matricial Hamburger moment problems and related interpolation problems (Q472452)

Along four large sections, the paper is a study on maximum mass measures in the truncated matricial hamburger moment problem and related problems, especially on the nondegenerate case. The first section is an introduction into the topic and two truncated matricial moment problems are settled. In the second section, solutions of the two settled nondegenerate matricial moment problems are analyzed. It is proved that each solution of these nondegenerate problems can be also represented via its Stieltjes transform as a linear fractional transformation of an appropriate \(p\times p\) Schur function. Proofs of three basic facts are given in the third section. In the fourth section of the paper some results on the block Hankel vector approach are reviewed and the same extremal question under study is considered for three nondegenerate interpolation problems of Nevanlina-Pick type in the class of \(p\times p\) Nevanlina functions and its two subclasses, respectively. Based on the block Hankel vector approach, the results obtained in the third section are applied to analyze the corresponding extremal feature on these matrix nondegenerate interpolation problems of Nevanlina-Pick type.
