The nondegenerate and degenerate truncated Hamburger matrix moment problems are considered. A special Schur algorithm which involves matrix continued fractions is used to investigate these problems. The exhibited moment problems are connected with the Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation, which gives as an application the solutions to the nontangential Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation in the Nevanlinna class.
