The authors investigated the generalised Hénon-Heiles system given by the Hamiltonian \(H(p,q) = \frac{1}{2}(p_1^2+p_2^2)+c_1q_1^2+c_2q_2^2+aq_1q_2^2 + \frac{b}{3} q_1^3 - \frac{\ell^2}{2 q_2^2}\) for non-vanishing \(\ell\). It is known that the cases i) \(\frac{a}{b} = 1\), ii) \(6\), and iii) 16 are Liouville integrable and canonically equivalent [\textit{A. P. Fordy}, Physica D 52, No. 2--3, 204--210 (1991; Zbl 0753.35102)]. The authors start with genus four trigonal algebraic curve \(\widetilde{C}\) being the spectral curve of the associated Lax representation. Whilst \(\widetilde{C}\) admits involution with two fixed points and covers genus two hyperelliptic curve \(C\), then Jacobian of \(\widetilde{C}\) contains Prym variety, which is Jacobian of another genus two hyperelliptic curve \(C'\) according to the Mumford theorem [\textit{D. Mumford}, in: Contribut. to Analysis, Collect. of Papers dedicated to Lipman Bers, 325--350 (1974; Zbl 0299.14018)]. Using the algorithm [\textit{A. Levin}, J. Théor. Nombres Bordx. 24, No. 3, 705--727 (2012; Zbl 1271.11065)], the second curve \(C'\) is explicitly obtained, which was previously found in [\textit{C. Verhoeven} et al., J. Math. Phys. 43, No. 4, 1906--1915 (2002; Zbl 1059.37043)]. The authors elucidate algebro-geometric structures standing behind phenomena of integrability of Hénon-Heiles systems of i) and iii) cases, which have broader applicability to higher genera systems.
