Let \(\Delta \subset \mathbb C\) be the open unit disc in the complex plane \(\mathbb C\). A holomorphic immersion \(\phi:\Delta\to\mathbb C^N\) with \(N>1\), is called \textit{complete} if the pullback of the Euclidean metric \(\phi*g\) is a complete metric on \(\Delta\). It is known that for any given convex domain \(D\subset\mathbb C^2\), there is a complete proper holomorphic immersion \(\phi:\Delta\to D\). Reminiscent to a celebrated result by Caratheodory, that any biholomorphic map between Jordan domains \(D_i\subset\mathbb C\) can be extended continuously through \(\bar{D_i}\), in this note, the author exhibits an example of a complete proper holomorphic map \(F:\Delta\to\Delta^2\) which \textit{cannot} be extended continuously through \(\bar\Delta\).
