The third edition of Newton's \textit{Principia} appeared in 1726. It was the textual base of the so-called Jesuit edition of this monograph that consisted of four volumes and appeared in the years 1739 up to 1742 commenting upon every proposition. The three commentators were Thomas Le Seur, Francois Jacquier, and Jean Louis Calandrini. The paper consists of three sections. First of all, it explains the history of the editions of the \textit{Principia} up to J. M. F. Wright's commentary on them that was published in 1833. Secondly, it presents the Jesuit edition and deals with its main characteristics. Thirdly, it analyses (in order to give a special example) Newton's solution of the fundamental inverse problem of central forces (Book I, Section 8, Proposition 41) and its explanations of the commentators. The authors of the paper intend to elaborate a thorough analysis of the whole edition.
