In this paper, a formula is found relating the Fourier transform of a radial function in \(\mathbb R^n\) and the Fourier transform of the same function in \(\mathbb R^{n+2}\). It is worth mentioning that shortly after, \textit{R. Estrada} [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 20, No. 2, 301--320 (2014; Zbl 1315.46045)] gave a similar formula but relating the Fourier transform of a radial function in \(\mathbb R^n\) and the Fourier transform of the same function in \(\mathbb R^{n+1}\). More or less immediately, \textit{A. Nowak} and \textit{K. Stempak} in [J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 20, No. 5, 1141--1144 (2014; Zbl 1305.42010)] showed how both relations are located within known results on transplantation for Hankel transforms.
