Let \(L^p_{2\pi}\), \(1\leq p<\infty\), be the space of all \(2\pi\)-periodic real-valued functions \(f\) satisfying \[ | | f| | =\left ( \int_{-\pi}^\pi | f(x)| ^p dx \right)^{1/p}<\infty. \] The relationship between the best approximation of functions \(f\in L^p_{2\pi}\) and their Fourier coefficients is investigated. A certain generalizations of Leindler's theorems are obtained (cf. [\textit{L. Leindler}, Anal. Math. 31, No. 2, 117--129 (2005; Zbl 1098.42004)]).
