The authors introduce a family of quasi-interpolants that are based on bivariate \(C^1\)-cubic super splines defined on triangulations which possess a Powell-Sabin refinement. It is shown that the spline coefficients depend solely on a set of local function values, and that the quasi-interpolants reproduce cubic polynomials with optimal accuracy. Some numerical results are also presented.
