This paper studies necessary vanishing conditions for the holomorphic Poisson cohomology on compact complex manifolds. Let us recall that a holomorphic Poisson structure induces a cohomology obtained by twisting the Dolbeault operator. The cohomology space is in fact a limit of a spectral sequence of a double complex. In this work, the authors identify three situations in which this spectral sequence degenerates on the level of the second sheet. The role of holomorphic Poisson structures is specified and the computation of the cohomology is established in the context of Lie bi-algebroids and the corresponding dual differentials. The results concern various kinds of complex manifolds, for instance Kähler manifolds, nilmanifolds with abelian complex structures, parallelizable complex structures.
