Complete proper holomorphic embeddings of strictly pseudoconvex domains into balls (Q491842)

The author constructs a complete proper holomorphic embedding from any strictly pseudoconvex domain with \({\mathcal C}^2\)-boundary in \({\mathbb C}^n\) into the unit ball in \({\mathbb C}^N\) for \(N\) large enough, thereby answering a question of Alarcón and Forstnerič about the existence of a complete proper embedding or immersion of the unit ball in \({\mathbb C}^n\) into the unit ball in \({\mathbb C}^N,\) \(N > n.\) The author notices that the construction by \textit{F. Forstnerič} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 295, 347--368 (1986; Zbl 0594.32024)] can be refined in order to produce a complete map if one chooses different constants in the inductive construction.
