    Let \(X\) be a Banach space and set \(g_\alpha(t):=t^{\alpha-1}/\Gamma(\alpha)\), \(t>0,\alpha\geq 0\). A family of linear operators \(\{S_{\alpha,\beta}(t)\}_{t>0}\), \(\alpha,\beta\geq 0\), is a \((g_\alpha,g_\beta)\)-regularized resolvent family (generated by \(A\)) if \(t\mapsto S_{\alpha,\beta}(x)\) is continuous for each \(x\in X\), \(S_{\alpha,\beta}(t)x/g_\alpha(t)x\to x\) strongly as \(t\to 0\), \(AS_{\alpha,\beta}(t)\) extends \(S_{\alpha,\beta}(t)A\) and if \[ S_{\alpha,\beta}(t)x = g_\beta(t)x + A g_\alpha\star S_{\alpha,\beta}(t)x. \] Here \(\star\) denotes the usual Laplace convolution \(u\star v(t) =\int_0^t u(s)v(t-s)\,ds\). The main result of the paper states that if \(A\) generates an \((g_{\eta_1},g_{\eta_2})\)-regularized resolvent family \(S_{\eta_1,\eta_2}(t)\), \(t>0\), then the family \[ S_{\alpha\eta_1,\alpha\eta_2+\beta} = \int_0^\infty\psi_{\alpha,\beta}(t,s) S_{\eta_1,\eta_2}(s)x\,ds= g_\beta\star S_{\alpha\eta_1,\alpha\eta_2}x \] is a \((g_{\alpha\eta_1},g_{\alpha\eta_2+\beta})\)-regularized resolvent family which is also generated by \(A\). Here the kernel \(\psi_{\alpha,\beta}\) is defined through a two-parameter Wright function. The results are applied to fractional differential equations.
