The authors continue their research on the approximation numbers \[ a_n(T):=\inf\{\|T-R\|_{\mathrm{op}}: \operatorname{rank}\; R<n\} \] of composition operators \(T\). This time, the setting is no longer a Hilbert space, but the Hardy space \(H^p\), \(1\leq p<\infty\). The main emphasis is laid on providing lower estimates.
