    Let \(\Omega\) be a doubly connected cylindrical domain in \(\mathbb R^n\). The authors discuss equations \[ (1- \kappa \nabla^2) v_t =\nu \nabla^2 v-(v \cdot \nabla) \widetilde{v} - (\widetilde{v} \cdot \nabla)v - (v \cdot \nabla)v -\nabla p, \nabla\cdot v=0 \] where \(\widetilde{v}\) is given, \(v\) unknown vector-functions and \(p\) is an unknown scalar function; \(\widetilde{v}\) describes the stationary Couette flow. The authors prove that the corresponding initial-boundary value problem has a unique solution.
