A result of \textit{I. Satake} [Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA 42, 359--363 (1956; Zbl 0074.18103)] showed that orientable orbifolds \(\mathcal{O}\) satisfy \(\mathbb{R}\)-valued Poincaré duality. Namely, \(H^k(|\mathcal{O}|;\mathbb{R})=H_{n-k}(\mathcal{O}|;\mathbb{R})\), where \(|\mathcal{O}|\) denotes the underlying topological space of \(\mathcal{O}\). The main result of this paper is that if the dimension of \(\mathcal{O}\) is 4 or 5, and the natural surjection \(\pi_1^{\text{orb}}(\mathcal{O})\to\pi_1(|\mathcal{O}|)\) of the orbifold fundamental group to the standard fundamental group is an isomorphism, then \(|\mathcal{O}|\) satisfies \(\mathbb{Z}\)-valued Poincaré duality.
