    In the this paper, the author proves a certain discrete analogue of Voronin's universality theorem for the Riemann zeta-function \(\zeta(s)\). Let \(\mathcal{K}\) denote the class of compact subsets of the strip \(\frac{1}{2}<\mathrm{Re}(s)<1\) with connected complements. Further, for \(K \in \mathcal{K}\), let \(H_0(K)\) the class of continuous non-vanishing functions on \(K\) which are analytic in the interior of \(K\). Then, for \(K \in \mathcal{K}\) and \(f(s) \in H_0(K)\), one version of Vornin's universality theorem states that \[ \liminf_{T\to\infty} \frac{1}{T} \mathrm{meas} \Big\{ \tau \in [0,T]: \sup_{s\in K} \;|\zeta(s+i\tau)-f(s)| < \varepsilon \Big\} > 0 \] for every \(\varepsilon>0\). This paper generalizes this theorem. Suppose that \(N \to \infty\) and let \(\mathcal{X}\) denote the class of sequences \(\{ x_k \}_{k=1}^\infty\) satisfying the following three hypotheses: {\parindent=0.6cm\begin{itemize}\item[--] \(\{a x_k\}\) is uniformly distributed modulo 1 for all real \(a\neq 0\); \item[--] \(1\leq x_k \leq k\) for all \(k \in \mathbb{N}\); \item[--] for \(1 \leq k, m \leq N, k\neq m\), the inequality \(|x_k - x_m| \geq \frac{1}{y_N}\) holds with \(y_N>0\) satisfying \(y_N x_N \ll N\). \end{itemize}} Then, for \(\{x_k\}\in \mathcal{X}\), \(K \in \mathcal{K}\), and \(f(s) \in H_0(K)\), it is proved that \[ \liminf_{N\to\infty} \frac{1}{N} \# \Big\{ 1\leq k \leq N: \sup_{s\in K} \;|\zeta(s+ix_k h)-f(s)| < \varepsilon \Big\} > 0 \] for every \(h>0\) and \(\varepsilon>0\).
