In 1994, J. Milnor conjectured that the volume of an \(n\)-dimensional simplex in the spherical or the hyperbolic space (as a function of the dihedral angles) can be continuously extended to lower-dimensional simplices, vanishing the extended volume functional only in the closure of the space of Euclidean simplices. In [Commun. Contemp. Math. 8, 411--431 (2006; Zbl 1112.52006)], the second author answered in the affirmative the first part of the above conjecture. In this paper, the authors confirm the second part of the conjecture on the non-zero value of the volume functional.
