The author studies the linear complementarity problem and presents improvements for the solution of large, sparse problems. He begins with an overview of the complementarity problem and a section outlining the necessary notations and definitions. The third section presents the proposed method which is based on a two-step modulus matrix splitting iteration approach. This is followed by a section on the properties of this method, which includes the proof of its convergence. The paper concludes with a section containing the computational results produced by this method and a list of useful references.
