    In connection with quasiconformal mappings, the authors study certain new inequalities for vector functions in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Some of these results refine theorems by \textit{L. Maligranda} [Am. Math. Mon. 113, No. 3, 256--260 (2006; Zbl 1135.51018)] or \textit{S. S. Dragomir} [Acta Math. Vietnam. 34, No. 3, 361--369 (2009; Zbl 1214.47013)]. One of the main results of the paper states that by defining \(A_{a,b}(x)= A(x)=|x|^{a-1} x\) if \(|x|< 1\) and \(|x|^{b-1} x\) if \(|x|\geq 1\), where \(|x|\) is the Euclidean norm, and \(0< a\leq 1\leq b\); then \[ \sup\{|Ax)- A(y)|/|A(x)- A(z)|: |x|\leq|y|,\, x,y\neq 0,\, x\neq y\}= 2/(3^a- 1), \] where \(z= {x\over|x|}(|x|+ |x-y|)\). For \(a\to 1\) this result is sharp.
