Let \(K\) be a field of characteristic zero and \(\omega \in \Omega^r(n)\) a polynomial \(r\)-form. If \(V = \{ f= 0\}\) is an algebraic hypersurface in \(K^n\), then \(V\) is \(\omega\)-invariant provided \((\omega \wedge {\text d}f)_{|V} \equiv 0\). Suppose that \(R = \frac{P}{Q} \in K(z_1,\ldots,z_n)\) is a rational function and consider the pencil \(\{P-\lambda Q = 0\}_{\lambda \in K}\). Then \(R\) is called a rational first integral for \(\omega\) if \(V_\lambda = \{P-\lambda Q = 0\}\) is \(\omega\)-invariant for all \(\lambda \in K\). In this paper the authors proved that if \(\omega\) admits \[ \binom{d-1+n}{n}\cdot \binom{n}{r+1} + r+1 \] invariant irreducible algebraic hypersurfaces, then \(\omega\) admits a rational first integral. This theorem generalizes the results of \textit{J.-P. Jouanolou} [Equations de Pfaff algébriques. (French) Lecture Notes in Mathematics. 708. Berlin-Heidelberg-New York: Springer-Verlag. (1979; Zbl 0477.58002)] for \(r=1\) and of \textit{J. Llibre} and \textit{X. Zhang} [Bull. Sci. Math. 134, No. 2, 189--195 (2010; Zbl 1190.34003)] for \(K = \mathbb{R}\) or \(\mathbb{C}\).
