The author derives two results concerning Hermitian modular forms of degree 2 over \(\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-1})\) and \(\mathbb{Q}(\sqrt{-3})\). The first one says that a modular satisfies a congruence mod \(p\), \(p\geq 5\) a prime, whenever sufficiently many Fourier coefficients do so. This is a generalization of \textit{J. Sturm}'s theorem [Lect. Notes Math. 1240, 275--280 (1987; Zbl 0615.10035)]. The second one generalizes a result by \textit{J.-P. Serre} [Lect. Notes Math. 350, 191--268 (1973; Zbl 0277.12014)] concerning the well-definedness of the \(p\)-adic weight Hermitian modular forms.
