First the authors define rigid measures and dual measures. After then they introduce \(ext(\mu)\) and \(ext(\mu^*)\), \(att(\mu)\) where \(ext(\mu)\) and \(ext(\mu^*)\) are the numbers of extremal summands of a rigid measure \(\mu\) and dual measure \(\mu^*\) respectively, and \(att(\mu)\) is the number of attachment points of \(\mu\). In this paper they prove the following result. For every rigid measure \(\mu\) \[ ext(\mu) + ext(\mu^*) = att(\mu) + 1. \] This result is useful for writing explicit solutions of Schubert calculus problems.
