The authors show the \(O(h^{d+1-k})\) convergence of the \(k\)th derivative of a family of barycentric rational interpolants for \(k=1\) and 2 in polynomial and spline interpolation, where \(d\) is the degree of the polynomial or spline. For a recently proposed family of barycentric rational interpolation based on blending polynomial interpolants of degree d they prove the same convergence. Some numerical examples are given.
