Stability of \(N\) solitary waves for the generalized BBM equations (Q558461)

The authors investigate the generalized BBM (Benjamin-Bona-Mahony) equations for power \(p\) integer greater than or equal to 2 and the family of solitary wave solutions of this equation. They prove that the sum of \(N\) sufficiently coupled stable solitary wave solutions is also stable in the energy space. The authors also obtain asymptotic stability results following K. El Dika (2003). Later they prove the existence and uniqueness of a solution behaving asymptotically in large time as the sum of \(N\) given solitary waves using the method of Y. Martel.
