Let G be a finite group and \(\chi\) be an irreducible quasi-primitive character of G of square-free degree. The author shows that \(\chi\) is a primitive character of G if every character \(\delta\in Irr(\hat S)\) with \(\delta\) (1)\(|\) \(\chi\) (1) where \(\hat S\) is a universal covering group non-Abelian composition factor S of G, is primitive. She gives also a list of simple groups S which have this property.
