The stationary Navier-Stokes equations with Coriolis force in thin domains are studied by using an asymptotic analysis. The model is appropriate for some lakes and seas when the wind velocity is not to large. Some previous results of the authors consider the case of a negligible Coriolis force, and a ``vertical-geostrophic'' model is derived, reducing the cost on numerical computation. This time, the model is enlarged; the Coriolis force is not negligible and the presence of islands is considered. Moreover, the strong convergence of the asymptotic solution is proved in particular spaces.
