The authors consider questions about the behavior of meromorphic functions in the unit ball of \(\mathbb{C}^n\) which are holomorphic in a neighborhood of the origin in terms of their rational approximants. In the case of one variable one can trace this problem to work of \textit{Ch. Pommerenke} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 41, 775-780 (1973; Zbl 0256.30037)].
