The author considers a multivalued semilinear ODE, arising from a Budyko-type energy balance climate model. After reducing -- under convenient hypotheses -- the physical problem to a bifurcation problem, he proves a global bifurcation theorem on the above model, mainly relying on Rabinowitz's bifurcation theorem. This result is then interpreted in the frame of climatology.
