      In the present article, the author investigates the local behaviour of nonnegative weak solutions to the equations of non-Newtonian polytropic filtration \[ \begin{aligned} &u_t - \text{div}(|Du^m|^{p-2}Du^m) = 0,\quad m(p-1) < 1,\;m > 0,\;p > 1\quad \text{in } D'(\Omega_T),\\ &u \in C_{\text{loc}}(0,T; L_{\text{loc}}^p(\Omega)),\quad u^m\in L_{\text{loc}}^p(0,T;W_{\text{loc}}^{1,p}(\Omega)), \end{aligned} \] where \(\Omega\) is an open set of \(\mathbb{R}^N\), \(N \geq 1\), \(\Omega_T \equiv \Omega\times (0,T)\). The main aim of the article under review is to prove the so-called intrinsic Harnack inequalities in the case of \(m(N - 1)/(mN + 1) < m(p-1) < 1\).
