Zhu proved that modules of a vertex operator algebra \(V\) are in one-to-one correspondence to the modules of an associative algebra \(A(V)\), now called Zhu's algebra. This paper is to relate Zhu's \(A(V)\)-theory to so called ``regular representations of vertex operator algebras'' introduced by the author in [Commun. Contemp. Math. 4, No. 4, 639--683 (2002; Zbl 1023.17019)].
