The author proves an existence result for periodic weak solutions to a boundary value problem for the scalar conservation law \(u_t+f(u)_x=g(t,x)\), \(u(t,0)=u(t,1)\), by assuming that \(f\) is smooth as well as convex and \(g\) is \(t\)-periodic and satisfies the necessary condition \(\int_0^T dt\int_0^1g(t,x) \,dx=0\).
