    This paper deals with the nonlinear system of Maxwell's equations \[ \begin{gathered} \varepsilon\partial_t E=\text{curl} H-J(x,E),\;\mu \partial_tH= -\text{curl} E\\ E(0,x)= E_0(x),\;H(0,x)=H_0(x)\\ \vec n\wedge E=0\text{ on }(0,\infty)\times\Gamma\text{ and }\vec n\wedge H=0\text{ on }(0, \infty)\times \Gamma_2, \end{gathered} \] where \(\partial\Omega =\Gamma_1\cup \Gamma_2\) and \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^3\). The main goal of the author is to study the energy decay of solutions, \[ \int_\Omega\biggl[ \varepsilon\bigl|E(t)\bigr |^2 +\mu\bigl |H(t)\bigr |^2\biggr] dx\to 0\text{ as }t\to \infty, \] under the condition \(\int_\Omega\mu H_0\cdot gdx=0\) for all \(g\in W_{H,0}\), where \(W_{H,0}\) is the space of all \(g\in L^2(\Omega,\mathbb{R}^3)\) with \(\text{curl} g=0\) on \(\Omega\).
