Considered are heteroclinic contours for two-dimensional diffeomorphisms, containing two hyperbolic saddles \(O_1, O_2\) and two heteroclinic trajectories \(\Gamma_{12}, \Gamma_{21}\). One heteroclinic trajectory \(\Gamma_{12}\) is transverse, while the other trajectory \(\Gamma_{21}\) is formed by a tangency of the stable manifold of \(O_2\) and the unstable manifold of \(O_1\). Three different classes occur, distinguished by the nonwandering set near the heteroclinic contour. Analogous to \textit{N. K. Gavrilov} and \textit{L. P. Shil'nikov} [Math. USSR, Sb. 17(1972), 467-485 (1973); translation from Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 88(130), 475-492 (1972; Zbl 0251.58005) and Math. USSR, Sb. 19(1973), 139-156 (1974); translation from Mat. Sb., Nov. Ser. 90(132), 139-156 (1973; Zbl 0258.58009)] for two-dimensional diffeomorphisms with homoclinic trajectories, the occurence of one-circuit periodic trajectories in one-parameter unfoldings is analysed.
