In a bounded domain \(\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^N\) \((N\geq 1)\) with the outward normal vector \(\eta\) the author considers the initial-boundary value problem \[ (u^m)_t=\Delta u,\quad (v^n)_t=\Delta v,\qquad x\in \Omega,\;t>0, \] \[ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \eta}=u^\alpha v^p,\quad \frac{\partial v}{\partial \eta}=u^q v^\beta, \qquad x\in \partial \Omega,\;t>0, \] \[ u(x,0)=u_0(x),\quad v(x,0)=v_0(x), \qquad x\in\overline\Omega, \] where \(u_0(x),v_0(x)\) are positive \(C^1\) functions, \(m\geq 1\), \(n >1\) (fast case) or \(m>1\), \(n<1\) (fast- slow case) and \(\alpha,p,q,\beta\) are nonnegative constants. He studies the influence of nonlinear powers exponents (in diffusions and boundary conditions) on the existence and nonexistence of a global solution.
