Sobolev regularity for solutions of parabolic equations by extrapolation methods (Q5954482)

Let \(X\) be a Banach space of functions defined on the open subset \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^{n},\) \(f:[0,T]\times \Omega \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{n}\) a given function, and \(A:D(A)\subset X\rightarrow X\) the generator of an analytic semigroup. The author considers the following evolution equation of parabolic type: NEWLINE\[NEWLINEu^{\prime }(t)=Au(t)+f(t) \quad\text{ a.e. on }(0,T), \quad u(0)=u_{0}, \tag{1}NEWLINE\]NEWLINE and by using the theory of interpolation and extrapolation spaces, she studies the existence and regularity of solutions \(u\) to \((1)\) with less regular data and also in the cases where \(u^{\prime }\) and \(Au\) have different regularity, giving optimal conditions for the data \(f\) and \(u_{0}\) guaranteeing \(u\in W^{\alpha ,p}((0,T);X)\) and obtaining new existence results for generalized as well as differentiable solutions to parabolic equations, compared to previous work by \textit{G. Da Prato} and \textit{P. Grisvard} [J. Math. pur. appl., IX. Sér. 54, 305-387 (1975; Zbl 0315.47009)] and the author [Ann. Mat. Pura Appl., IV. Ser. 138, 55-104 (1984; Zbl 0568.35047)].
