Let \(K\) be a complex cubic field and let \(p\geq 2\) be an integer. The authors consider the number \(M_{p,K}(X)\) of elements \(a\in K\), which are \(p\)th powers of integers of \(K\) and satisfy \(\max\{|\Re a|, |\Im a|\}\leq X\) and prove that for every \(\varepsilon>0\) one has \[ M_{p,K}(X)=B(p)|d(K)|^{-1/2}X^{3/p}+O\left(X^{c/p+\varepsilon}\right), \] where \(d(K)\) denotes the discriminant of \(K\), \(B(p)>0\) is explicitly given and \(c=11/7\). In the case \(p=1\) a similar result was obtained by \textit{B. Randol} [Int. Math. Res. Not. 1997, 259-270 (1997; Zbl 0973.11086)] with \(c=1\).
