On cooperative systems with respect to arbitrary orderings (Q5955050)

The author deals with differential inequalities in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) ordered by a cone. The first part of the paper is a collection of consequences of the results of \textit{P. Volkmann} on differential inequalities for quasimonotone increasing functions [Math. Z. 127, 157-164 (1972; Zbl 0226.34058) and Math. Ann. 203, 201-210 (1973; Zbl 0251.34039)]. In the second part, some examples are given, in particular in \(\mathbb{R}^3\) ordered by the ice-cream cone, and in the space of symmetric matrices ordered by the cone of positive semidefinite matrices. Quasimonotone increasing mappings with respect to these cones have been studied earlier by \textit{R. J. Stern} and \textit{H. Wolkowicz} [SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl. 12, No. 1, 160-165 (1991; Zbl 0716.15015)] and \textit{R. Redheffer} and \textit{W. Walter} [Monatsh. Math. 102, 237-249 (1986; Zbl 0579.34063)], among others.
