An application of shift operators to ordered symmetric spaces (Q5956600)

The authors prove a Paley-Wiener theorem for ordered symmetric spaces of Cayley type. The key feature of their proof is to use the shift operators introduced by Opdam to deal with the estimates for wave packets needed to show the surjectivity of the spherical Laplace transform onto the Paley-Wiener space. These shift operators allow them to reduce the calculations to the explicitly known cases of rank one.
