A two-point algebra (over a fixed algebraically closed field \(k\)) is a quotient of the path algebra \(kQ\) of a quiver \(Q\) with two vertices modulo an admissible ideal \(I\). The paper gives a complete description of tame (and wild) two-point algebras. The case when \(Q\) has no loops has been considered by \textit{T. Brüstle} and \textit{Y. Han} [in Commun. Algebra 29, No. 10, 4683-4692 (2001; Zbl 0991.16009)]. The present paper contains two tables, T and W, of bound quivers. The main result asserts that a two-point algebra \(A\) is tame if and only if \(A\) or the opposite algebra \(A^{op}\) degenerates to a factor of an algebra from Table T. The algebra \(A\) is wild if and only if \(A\) or \(A^{op}\) has a factor isomorphic to an algebra from Table W, moreover this is equivalent to the fact that \(A\) is controlled wild [see \textit{Y. Han}, Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 83, No. 2, 279-298 (2001; Zbl 1019.16007)]. The author uses the concept of degeneration introduced by \textit{W. Crawley-Boevey} [in Arch. Math. 65, No. 5, 399-407 (1995; Zbl 0861.16009)] and the theorem that a degeneration of a wild algebra is wild as well (ibid.).
