The author investigates some properties of functions \(f:X\times Y\to \mathbb{R}\) (the cliquishness, the Baire property, the measurability) whose vertical sections have closed graphs. E.g., it is proved: Let \(f:R^2\to \mathbb{R}\) be a function such that the sections \(f_x(y) = f(x,y)\), \(x\in \mathbb{R}\), have closed graphs and the sections \(f^y(x) = f(x,y)\), \(y\in \mathbb{R}\), are Lebesgue measurable. Then \(f\) is Lebesgue measurable as a function of two variables.
